The Labour and Management in Development Journal is an international, multidisciplinary and policy academic journal focusing on key factors in development frequently neglected in academic and policy debate and practice. The journal is produced and published by the Faculty of Business at he University of Tasmania.

Labour and Management in Development focuses on the following areas

  • the processes by which people work together to improve their physical and social well-being
  • the role of work and the manner it is managed in public, private and not for profit organizations
  • the failure of traditional organisational models as vehicles for achieving development outcomes
  • the new paradigms of the organization of work emphasising  cooperative endeavour

Labour and Management in Development particularly seeks submissions from early career researchers.  We are committed to facilitating publication of such research through a formative editorial and refereeing process.  The purpose of this is to enable early career researchers to develop their capacity to publish internationally in English without sacrificing scholarly standards.
